Is it possible to remove the original muffler on a 89 Catalina 30 without removing the galley. I took a long look today and I really do not want to take it apart unless it is absolutly neccessary. I will probbly replace the original with a Vetus, which I believe is much smaller. Now, how hard is removing and installing the new muffler. I managed to remove all but one screw, and I noticed it is fastened with some type of adhesive or epoxy.

mufler

Hi chief I have a 1988 C 30 with a M25xp Im changeing my mufler in a few weeks .My mufler is on a ply wood sheet 3/4" and has 4 screws .The mufler seems loouse to me I have a new plastic vetus muffler and the guys at Universal /WBK said it would work fine.I was thinking that i would remove the old mufler thru a hole under the sink and replace the FG with a new door I wanted to put a start battery down there. The vetus is very small and will fit on the old pipes but i have to raise the mufler about 6".If you wanted you could just cut the old mufler up and take it out in smaller pieces I like the small battery operated sawzal for this type of job .
