Holder Holder 14 Lake Lewisville
Does anyone know how the teak cap on the swing keel housing of a Holder 14 was originally attached? Screws only, or glued and screwed? I want to replace mine, and I've removed the 8 screws that appeared to hold it, but it won't budge. I can tell that it has had some repairs in the past, and I'm thinking that it may have been epoxied to the keel housing. Thanks for any information you may have.

Holder Holder 14 Lake Lewisville
Thanks, sfbay. The Holder info on the Hobie forum is pretty sparse and no new posts about the Holder in several years. The only place the part number for the teak cap shows up is in the parts guide. I can't find an occurrence of it anywhere else on the Internet. The mast step bracket has pulled out of the cap on my boat. I'm just going to turn it around and remount it, since it has one screw hole at one end and two at the other. I hope to find some clean wood that way.

Thanks, again, for the help.
