Removing striping

It seems I read somewhere about how to remove and replace the striping below the toe rail and also on the coach top, but I can't find the article. Any advice would be appreciated. The striping on our 1986 H31 looks pretty poor after 14 years, especially on the coach top where it is faded.

I just did this on my '84 31 Hunter, I used both heat gun and the smart eraser, you can get the smart eraser from auto body place, they call it a pinstripe remover, the two blue ones came off with the heat gun and scraper. The Middle stripe if it is the same white with three little stripes I used the eraser, it did not want to come off with heat, i just used an electric drill. It will take some time, then I used tolulene to get the residue off.
