Removing shower covers

The shower covers on the transom have broken off. To replace them, I need to remove the fitting, which seems to be epoxied on. Any hints how to do this?

I replaced those transom shower plastic trim boxes on my 331--I assume they are similar to yours. They were bedded with silicone on mine--certainly not epoxy. If I recall correctly, they were also held on by some hardware on the back side.

It was a year ago, but I seem to remember going around the edge of the "cups" with a thin putty knife and then pushing on the inside to pop them out. Sorry for the vague memory--probably because it didn't stand out as too nasty a job. (Now, replacing the freshwater pump-that is seared into my brain!)
