Just aquired a Hunter Vision 32 and have never removed the headsail. Can anyone offer help on doing this? I know the "key" on the mast comes out to pull the sail from the mast but what about pulling the foot of the sail from the boom?
Joyce: Are you trying to remove the headsail or the headstay? If you are trying to remove the head sail and it is on a CDI furler, you just need to untie the line that connect the sail to the furler. You may need to attach a line to the line that raises and lowers the sail. Once you do that you just need to drop the sail.
Joyce: I think you need to remove the main off the track first. The you should be able to slide it off the boom. It will slide forward on the boom. You will also need to remove the outhaul on the main.
To remove the mainsail.First hoist then lower removing Battens,then Rehoist ,remove or open up key on mast lower removing slides ,Slacken off out haul and pull sail out off rope slide on boom fold sail your done . Good luck.enjoy your V32 we do ours. Tom Cooper 89 V32 prologue 1
