In the rear berth I've foam padded liner on the hull which I started removing. I pull and tore the liner skin out but the foam backing was stuck into the hull. How do I remove those foam/sponge that's stuck/glued to the hull?

Or a putty knife/scraper and a shop vac followed by 80 grit sanding and an acetone wash. New anything won't stick to old foam/glue residue.

I've use scraper that just run over the foam :( Glue is pretty tough!
Perhaps I'll try steel brush to grate the foam??? Too much small pieces! Will also give wall-paper remover a go.

I've been working on the foam padding adhesive residue in our Albin Vega for many months, and it is the most tenacious stuff I've ever seen. I've tried every solvent known to man on it and probably given myself cancer, and the job is still less than half done. The solvents all work to an extent, but an enormous physical effort is required. Every square inch is a battle unto itself.

I haven't tried wallpaper remover though. I'll give that a shot.

@Whatfiero1 ... white bedliner you say? Tell me more?? I was planning to replace the padding with ... well ... padding, from Sailrite. But I'm all ears!

Yep white bedliner from Amazon and a little goes long way I replaced it for the carpet stuff on roof of old Hunter even super glue wires to mast then roll bed liner right over and ya can't really see the wires. Don't use if ya trying to heat or cool the space because it sweats and drips when real cold or hot outside

I feel for ya when it comes to glue residues. How about Goo Gone? It gets rid of most for me. Or some type of bumper sticker remover?
