Removing corrosion on aluminum window frames

I am currently restoring a "75 Catlina 27 and need to know the best product for removing corrosion from the aluminum window frames. Also, any ideas on removing scratches from plexiglass? I made the mistake of using a razor blade too agressively to remove sealant from the plexiglass. Many thanks.

White vinegar...

will remove the deposits, but you will have to fill any serious pittting with a product like JB Weld. Meguires make a series of plastic polishes in three grades, available at WM.
