I have a leak somewhere relating to my sink. I am trying to remove the sink so I can look at the big picture. How do you remove the sink? There is a lip around the sink edge that sits atop the counter surface. If I use a screwdrive to pry it up I am afraid i will bend the sink lip beyond repair. Any ideas???

Clamps for sink

I haven't looked at mine, but you might want to look underneath and see if there are clamps holding the sink to the counter top, similar to your regular kitchen sink. Steve

It's clamped . . .

I just took my sink out to turn it around 180 degrees. Now the drain is more on the low side and drains better. There are four long bolts fitted to clamps that hold the sink in place. The two fore and aft bolts are easy to loosen, but the port and starboard ones are harder to get to. (Mines a '71 dinette model). Once the bolts are loose the sink will still be held fast by the Plumbers Putty under the rim. Use a thin sharp putty knife, or something similar, to break that seal and then just pry the sink up. sink hard to get out

My sink is extremely hard to get to. You can't see underneath or beside the sink anywhere below. On the starboard side there is wood. Forward there is wood. Aft I can't even get to. And port I don't know how to do that either. I thought it was just some plumbers putty or adhesive holding it to the counter. I guess it would have to have more than that - hence you said bolts. I guess I better start cutting some trap doors to get to it.
