Removing Broken Winch handle

I had a locking winch handle fail while locked in my lewmar two speed primary S/T winch. The lever on the winch handle has no effect on the locking mechanism in the winch drum. Does anyone have any ideas to extract this broken handle.BTW the handle is all stainless steel

Nelly:Drill the center with a good sharp drill then using either an easy out (available at hardware stores) or tap the hole, cross thread a bolt into the tapped hole and remove the broken winch hadle tip.Bon Chance,Mike
