Remove gasoline taste from water tank

Replace the tank. I had a friend that did the same thing on his 1 off very special camper van. Because of the value of the rig he worked for over 6 months trying every combination of cleaners and cleaning tricks. In the end he had another tank built and it was quite expensive in his case.
In your case those type of tanks aren't very costly and would give a much better result. Plastic will absorb the fumes of the fuel and prevent removal of all the smell and taste.

This sounds familiar. I sold my 24 foot Bayliner to my brother and on the way home he decided to fill up the tank with gas. I got a call from him saying that the fuel gauge didn't work. I told him it did. That's when he realized he just pumped 30 gallons of gas into the water tank. He pumped it out but never used that tank again even after flushing it out many times.

Yep- had a friend have that happen- they put 38 gallons into a rod holder. The marina paid well to clean the boat.

And to answer the question- first reply said it- replace the tank

Also add a charcoal filter to the water lines.

Do a search on "recommissioning water tanks." It's the LINES as well as the tank, and in most cases it's the lines that get rotten before the tank. Good luck.

Fill it 151 rum, then you can either drink from it, run your engine off it or clean your bilges!lol
