Removal of Beneteau insignia

How can I remove the metal seahorse on the transom as it interferes with the placement of boat name and hailing post.

Probably just stuck on there with double sided foam adhesive like they are on cars. If so, use a piece of dental floss to "saw" it off, and then remove the residual adhesive. Should be easy. If it is hardware fastened (unlikely), the dental floss won't do a thing and you'll know if pretty quickly.
