Interesting idea but not accurate or persistent enough.Maybe using something like Marine Traffic with their On Course app at https://help.marinetraffic.com/hc/en-us/articles/205327417-Report-my-position-using-the-Oncourse-App ? That would at least let a phone on the boat report its location so you could see it on MarineTraffic. Not sure if MarineTraffic has the location resolution to set an alarm at a radius you’d need for an anchor alarm though.
I have not tried this but “The Anchor!” app manual may describe exactly what you want called Remote Mode. It also has a Mail Alert although somewhat limited.Any recommendations for good anchor watch smartphone app (for iOS) that lets me leave the sensor phone afloat and bring a second device ashore to receive alerts?
OK! I gave this app a try and indeed it WORKED! you have to purchase their premium version ($4.99/yr) but it does work.I have not tried this but “The Anchor!” app manual may describe exactly what you want called Remote Mode. It also has a Mail Alert although somewhat limited.
