After all the great input to my last two posts, (thanks all who replied)here is another one. I am replacing the tired 1975 7.5 Evinrude short shaft on my 1975 H25 with a 9.9 Merc electric start,remote controlled motor. Has anyone gone thru the process of installing the harness, cables, levers, switch, etc., associated with upgrading to a remote controlled outboard on a H25? I am told it isn't rocket science. I was also told in college that calculus wasn't hard. Right..... Any advice, input, stuff to look out for, tips on where to install the switch, throttle/shift lever, etc. would be appreciated.
