Hobie 16 & Rhodes 22 Skeeter Charleston
... I've picked up the bug for restoration and found the hobby I've only dreamed about in the past. ....
That is a wicked bug... I started with a Mac 21... then an Coronado 23, then another Mac 21, then a Coronado 25, then a Mac 22, then a Rhodes 22, followed by a Hobie 16, followed by a Balboa 26.... I now have a Hunter 26. The H26 is not so much a project boat but one that is actually in good shape... so .... maybe I've finally shaken this bug.... be carfull... it is addicting... there are so many decent but neglected boats out there that need a good home:yikes:... you will become the crazy boat boy (similar in concept to the crazy cat lady).

I actually started on a Tornado class catamaran about thirty years ago. This was a project I started on and had been in the 72 or 76 Olympics. I was divorced at the time. The bug was starting to infect me when I met my now wife. She apparently inoculated me from the bug and the catamaran went into storage. It remains there to this day. So once we are now sailing this ole girl, I'm thinking a trip back to Indiana is in order to dig that old catamaran out of storage and finish it then put it up for sale.
