I remember earning my card fondly. The next step came at Philmont when they told us to never be without a knife and a chap stick. 55 years later I still maintain that practice, except when TSA comes into play.

I've noticed that people who use Chapstick are addicted to it. People who don't use Chapstick don't seem to ever wish that they did.

Chapstick with SPF 25 in it. A must have here in FL. Never leave home without it.
BTW, I still have my BSA knife from the very early 60's. Always carried it as a BS but don't remember anything about a Totin' chip. Of course, I seem to not remember a lot of things according to the Admiral.
