Batteries
The best place for wet cell batteries is where the factory put them. In the starboard locker, accessible by standing on one's head, or crawling into the locker. They are low, but unfortunately add to the starboard list. Another place, installed in hull #1, is under the hanging locker in the aft cabin. Two group 27s fit. In later production this location was abandoned for the starboard location. The next best solution is Gel or AGM batteries installed anywhere there is room. Virtually no service required, so access is not very important. I have one group 27 under the port settee, one 4D next to and in front of the fuel tank, and one group 27 to the starboard, outboard of the fuel tank. When replacing the holding tank, I installed one of slightly narrower dimensions than the stock unit leaving room for yet another 4D battery (not yet installed).
