Bob,

Good move on your part man.

Some tips: both the #1 & 2 parts, make sure you wipe up any over drips on your fiberglass etc. before it dries. Both are water type liquids, so when applying, don't overload your brush to minimize running drips. After your first piece, you'll have it down to a science.

Same thing goes for decktop teak. I see guys sanding their teak before treating. Why sand away & take down your good teak when you can do it chemically.

One last thing, water neutralizes both liquids, so don't worry about stains or runs.

Good luck.

Bob,

I forgot to include some additional tips for using Snappy Teak. When you only have two brain cells left, the processor runs slower.

Your Snappy Teak may come with two small scrub brushes. If you use these with Part 1, do not scrub hard following the grain of the wood. Part 1 softens the pulp & scrubbing too hard can take this down lower than the hard wood thus leaving grooves. This tip is mainly for your deck top wood such as handrails etc. that may be abit weathered. You may want to use a medium scrubby pad instead.

Wear gloves but especially using part 2, as this is an acid. Do a final rinse with water & allow it to dry. Just lightly sand with a fine grit paper to knock down any fine pulp.

Myself, I remove any wood I can & do the stripping & varnishing in my garage. It makes the job alot easier.
