...Anyway, I just wanted to tell yall, if you're thinking about putting a fridge on your boat, that these seem to be good people to deal with and the fridge will even freeze if you want it to.
To Sumner,
Do you leave your fridge in the boat all the time? And do you run it all the time when your at home? I was doing that so I would have cold drinks when ever I went to the boat and it would always be ready to go.
Maybe I should just run it when I'm on the boat?
Glad you are getting the fridge fixed, we love ours and so far no problems and a few guys on the other board have bought them with I believe no problems.

We were leaving the fridge in the Mac, but then took it out to take to Florida last spring. We ran it in the Suburban going and coming and used it about a month in the Endeavour before we got....

...the fridge we made for it up and running.

People at times think about getting one and making with it to put in a regular cooler and also using it as a freezer. I did a test a week or so ago that I feel confirms that won't really work. I have the results of the test here...

Now if you want to use one of these as a freezer to keep frozen food frozen that is an option if you can generate the additional electricity that uses. Here is a chart...
..............

...that show that you can cool about a 150 liter box on 50 amp-hrs/day, but you would need 50 amp-hrs/day to keep a 40 liter box as a freezer, so about 2 to 3 times the energy to keep the same amount of food frozen as refrigerated,
