Refrigerator Drain

Following a recent post on "icebox drain" i am wondering whether the refrigerator drain on the H31 (mine is 1985) also goes to the bilge? If yes, did anybody rerouted it elsewhere? (i.e. sink drain). I recently washed my refrigerator after a long (fishing) trip and I am wondering where did all the mess end up.

PLUG IT UP!

Rafi: I'm assuming here that you have refrigeration installed in your ice box. The only real reason to have the drain is for melting ice. Yes, the "water" goes into the hull pan and eventually into the bilge. When I switched over to refrigeration earlier this season, I plugged up the drain with a small rubber stopper. Remember, cold goes DOWN and you don't want any more of your hard earned (and manufactured!) cold air to escape into the bilge. This is especially true in your part of the world! Hope this helps.
