I NEED A LITTLE HELP/ADVICE. THE REFRIGERATOR (GRUNERT) RUNS FOR 4.5 MIN. AND THEN RESTS FOR 2.5 MIN.AFTER WHICH IT REPEATS THIS CYCLE. IN ADDITION, IT FREEZES EVERYTHING IN THE REFER AS WELL AS THE FREEZER, EVEN WHEN SET ON LOWEST SELECTION. ONE MORE THING: IT DRAWS 17 AMPS WHILE RUNNING, EVEN THOUGH I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT 8 AMPS IS THE MAX IT SHOULD PULL. OBVIOUSLY I NEED SOME GENIUS HERE! THANKS IN ADVANCE.

If the system is similiar to my 410, with a single chiller and compressor unit for both the fridge and freezer, with an fan between the units to cool the reefer, there isn't much hope you'll ever get it to perform satisfactory. If this sounds like the same system, email me at bgrefe@mediaone.net and I'll give the the whole saga I went through to finally get a functional system. Why Hunter can't do a better job on this is beyond me. Bryce S/V Spellbinder H410

THANKS TO BRYCE

I APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTS, BRYCE, BUT IN CHECKING FURTHER MY UNIT HAS TWO SEPARATE COOLING CIRCUITS AND NO FAN SUPPLY FOR THE REFER. IF YOUR INTERESTED, I'LL TELLYOU WHAT I FIND, IF I FIND OUT THE PROBLEM.

Not working right...

Hi, Robbie, Well, I have the same boat and the same fridge, I'm sure. Yours is not functioning correctly, and the problem may be in one of the two temp controllers or in the copper bulb sensor. Suggest that you call or email Grunert and speak to Mr. Ray Martinez, their Guru, who will give you excellent advice regarding getting things working right. The box on these units are funky, and with no seal on the rear of the freezer lid, there is lots of condensation (contact me at georgek2@earthlink.net for some though imperfect simple fixes for this issue if you have this problem), but you need to get the system performing properly first (which it will do when repaired. Cheers, George Kornreich
