refrigeration 1990 C30

I have a 1990 C30 and want to convert the wonderful ice box to AC/DC refrigeration system. The box has such a stange configuration inside I am wondering what kind of unit works best. I am hoping someone has tackled this project with some success. Thanks--Sully

Adler-Barbour

When we purchased our C30 it already had an Adler-Barbour unit installed, so I can't speak to the issues of installation but it looks pretty straight forward. The compressor is mounted in the cockpit locker shelf next to the propane tank. The evaporators are mounted on the starboard side of the refer box. I checked the defender web site and it looks like a setup like this would run about $900 though. Fair winds, Jim

AB worked great

I had an 87 Catalina 30 and it was already installed and it worked great. My compressor was below the aft berth.
