Our refrige is too small and our freezer is too large. Is there a way to divide the freezer into two compartments, converting part of it's space to a refrige?

More Refer-Room

Richard : We have the 361, so I'm not certain that our two boats are equipped the same way, however, my experience is that "yacht size" things do take some getting used to. I'd suggest if you just turn down the freezer temp, & then you'll turn it into a fridge. You could also get one of those coolers that can plug into a lighter to give you more refer-room. Cheers, Paul. www.winpipe.ca

Freezer

Richard, We have the same problem with our 361. I am not happy with the freezer/refrigerator setup on the 361. We also have a problem getting the system to work properly. We have tried to turn up the temp on the freezer and then the refrigerator isn't cold enough. If we turn the temp down on the freezer the whole system gets iced up to the point you can't close the freezer. I feel like I am constantly defrosting the freezer so most of the time I end up turning the whole system off except during cruises and use a cooler. Thanks, Tom

Fridge Woes

On my 390, I put a plug in the drain hole to stop any water from entering the bilge. I only turn the dial to setting number 2 or sometimes 1.5 of 9 settings and that is more than sufficient to stop the fridge from icing up and things are kept cool. Mind you the PO put a Novacool in and it works great with only a small power drain. I never leave the fridge on when not on the boat and always leave the boat with the fridge door open to air it out.
