Refridge fan keeps running

When I had problems with my fridge on a 351, one of the suggestion was to test the temp regulator in the fridge which controls when the compressor should run and when the fridge has met your desired temp. Also, search the web for Richard Kollmann - he helped me find the problem and replacement parts - he's a fridge expert.
I have always been wondering about that issue with my 323. When I turn the refrigerator on, the compressor runs 100% of the time. My thought was that it was due to nonexistent insulation around the box, and lack of air flow around the compressor. It's been that way since the boat was first launched in 2005. I never did anything about it. The root cause could-be as simple as low refrigerant. I have no Idea what kind of refrigerant it uses, nor have I been able to locate a recharge port. Subsequently, the refrigerator has never really been used, the stove has never been lit, and the microwave has never been used... Everything stays pretty clean that way. Beer and boats don't mix anyway.
As mentioned above buy Kollmans book.
Reach into your freezer compartment or cold plate - the frost should cover the whole plate. My 343 leaked refrigerant out after the first year - the oil ended up in the tray under the freezer and ruined it.
I pulled the whole unit out of the cabinet and installed a self tapping port into the line. It uses the same refrigerant as newer vehicles. You can buy a kit at most auto parts stores.
I used a 1/4" tubing kit but realized the tubing is actually 6 mm so you need a thin shim to get a good fit.
I refill every couple years.
I found several files online for instructions for marine ref. Kollmans book covers it well.

In my opinion ,if the fan near the compressor doesn't shut off then it is likely an issue with either an open circuit with the fan wiring or a problem with the circuit board. Most of the time I find the problem at the circuit board and replacing it cures the problem.
Suggest you try and contact the manufacturer of the fridge itself.Should be a name plate on compressor or fridge.Hope this helps
