Hi,
I have a 2004 Beneteau Oceanis 411 Clebration and doing a refit. Have dropped the rudder as had some slight movement. Note two stainless steel beraings on the rudder tapered stock. The lower one fixed and sits in side a phosphor bronze bearing in the hull. The top bearing can be rotated by hand ??? Should it do that as dealer suggested not ? moves smoothly but on what and no easy way to seal/bond as built into the fibreglass rudder. It sits in a plastic female bearing at the top of the assembly when back in boat.
Any insight appreciated !
Regards
