Cetol

Cetol is the way to go for exterior wood. Clean the teak (anyway you want to) put on three coats of Cetol and you are good for at least two years.

Refinishing

First, put down at least 2 coats of sealer. then apply the varnish. I did this project this spring and used a product from the Ultimate Cabin Sole Company. They have a new product for exterior teak. After stripping off all the old varnish (gel stripper and heat gun) I applied the sealer - wet sanded with 220 - used mineral spirits to clean off the teak - then applied 2 coats of the varnish. I again wet sanded with 220 and applied 2 more coats. Not only does it look like new, it has not showed any signs of wear since April when I did the work (I am on the Chesepeake Bay). I have included the link to web site.

Fiberglas restoring

Pat, I've owned old boats for years. I've never come across a product for restoring fiberglass that works as well as Poly Glow. I've used it for the 3rd time on my 1989 Cat 30--that was not maintained well before I purchased it--and I always get asked if I've just had the hull awlgripped. Check it out in Practical Sailor. It's very easy to apply if you follow the directions. They have a web site.
