I have been researching in the forums for information on refinishing my cabin floor, which is teak and holly. I have pretty much decided on how to accomplish this with stripping compound, sanding and refinishing. But I read in one of the threads where you can remove your flooring without taking out your cabinets, am also assuming seatee and dinnette area seating as well. Question: Is this true??
We have a 87 Hunter 31 and the floor is showing signs of fading and wear. Some curling going on by the counter area just under the companionway where I think water gets in durning a hard rain. I would like to take the floor up and see what condition the back side is, but have a long list of things to do over the winter and this would make it longer. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Fair winds gents.
