Refinish Deck

Hello everyone. This winter I am going to refinish the deck on my 1980 Hunter 30. I have professional help regarding fixing scratches and paint. In fact the deck is in really good shape. My question is has any body tackled this on thier boat and can you comment on any problems you may have had. One of my concerns is the removal of stantions and deck fittings and how much of a job this is rather than simply just masking some of them off. Thank you and I appreciate any comments you may have. Refinish

I am just finishing this job on my '75 H25, I removed all the hardward, teak and stanchions and think this is the only way to do it. If the deck needs to be refinished, then the sealant for all the deck fittings probably needs attention as well.Take the time, do it right, and then relax and enjoy for another 20 yrs.

When you say refinish, what exactly do you mean? Paint, wax, gelcoat??
