Reefing on a 216

Question: Recently purchased a Hunter 216. Very pleased with it so far, but puzzled as to how to set up the reef with the clew cringle. Reefing at tack is straight forward, but puzzled as to set up reef at the clew. From cringle to cheek block on starboard side and then all the way forward to cleat close to gooseneck? Doesn't seem right?
