When I purchased my Oday 30 one of the two mainsail reefing lines was missing and the other was tied off in a knok hanging from the end of the boom. The owners manual give the size does anyone know what is suppose to be on the end that attaches to the sail?

Reefing lines

The reefing lines pass from the end of the boom, up through the reef point in the sail, and back down to the boom. On the bottom of the boom, towards the back end, there are two pad-eyes. Each reefing line gets tied to one. When you replace the missing line you might want to use a line longer than the manual calls out. I just replaced my main and the reefing points were installed a little higher up than original.

Thanks

I don't remember seeing two Pad-eyes under the boom but then again I wasn't looking all that close under the boom. Thanks for the tip about making the line a little longer, I will. The manual also states there is an 8' foot reefing line but I don't have a clue what that might be use for. Again that for the info.
