Tips on running a new reefing line through the boom? I assume I can snake it, or maybe I'll have to take off an end cap. The old line popped this summer, for reasons I still can't quite explain. I was surprised at how brittle some of the line was, however, after 5 yrs. It's normally under the sail cover, but it was though it was sun-dried. This is on an H356 with standard main.

Paul, The caps are usually rivited on. Use a fishing line with a weight. Disconnect the boom and tilt it up so you slide the weight down the length. Use the fishing line to pull your new line through.
