Reefing Hunter 216

It depends which mast and boom was used on that boat. There is information I know that most do not which is why I need those photos.
There are two discussions of reefing the H216 under owner mods. Go the Hunter Owners main page, select H213 under Resources then select owner mods. Jeff describes/shows how to reef. Ranger Paul (me) shows the installation for single line reefing.

I finally have a photo of the mast to post. In order to reef the luff (after dropping the mainsail) do I unpin the mainsail tack on the boom and pin the reef grommet there? I would have to release the slide stop and remove all the luff slides below the reef grommet. Seems complicated, but the luff reef point needs to be lashed to the boom somehow.
I posted a reply and photo 4/18, but I don't see it. Anyway, I think I can use Prideaux's illustrations. I see that the luff below the reefing cringle collapses on one side of the boom. I do not have to release the slide stop above the gate; I can leave the slides between the tack and the luff cringle in place. I see what to do with the leech reefing cringle, but I am not sure what to do with the intermediate reefing cringles. Lash them to the boom or just to the foot of the sail?
I just posted a reply to Prideaux. I also expanded yesterday's reply to find my picture and posting. I do have a free halyard cleat on the starboard side of the mast because of a furling jib, but I suppose I will have to provide a cleat on the port side to lash the other end of the reefing line. Thanks to all of you for your help.
