WOW the season is here already.
Question for the 310 Furling Main Sailors here.
On a regular sail you have reefing spots on the Main sail. Does anyone who has a Furling Main have designated spots on the Main or Boom for reefing? The Furling Main is a whole new ball game for me.

I don't, it's called infinite adjustable reefing. I guess you could mark spots on the boom but reefing to the conditions is sort of intuitive.

Boy that was fast. I had a feeling that was the case. Figured I'd ask. Some of the people here with years of experience these types of sails might have worked something out or not.
Thanks Sailm8

You just have to eyeball it and ballpark it. I tend to watch where the clew is on the boom. Good way to estimate %

We have a traditional mainsail but on our headsail I have marked the furling line at a few points to give me a quick glance at where it is when furling or unfurling the sail. I have marks are 75%, 100% and 110% of the for triangle. I marked it with a sharpie and then got some colored whipping twine and whipped it at those spots as a quick reference.
