Reefer rack

The reefer rack in our 2000 C310 is starting to show it's age. I'd like to either get a new one, or clean up and plastic coat the old one. Has anyone here done either of these things?

No idea where to track down a new one. Thinking I could wire brush the rusty spots on the old one and just paint with plastic coating, I guess.

I make mine from plastic coated wire shelving material, like you'd use in a closet, even got little caps for the cut ends.

Here’s the old one. It does look like a 12” closet rack will work fine. I think I’ll make the new one a little shorter, so it’s easier to get in and out of the fridge

That looks like a factory-made refrigerator rack.............if so, do an an internet search on "refrigerator wire shelf" with you rack outside dimensions to find one.
