Don, I've seen ads for having sails cleaned and repaired as necessary. I plan to do that this year. My question is, "is it worth the money to have the coatings and conditioners reapplied to a used sail?" The sails are a std. jib and a 150 genny, both made with 5.5 oz. cloth and are about half way through their life span. The cost for that coating and bonding process is about $150. Thanks, Ray

Good experience

A friend I often sail with had his very old sails cleaned and reconditioned by SailCare. The results were very impressive. It won't put good shape in a blown out sail, but if the sail is in decent shape to begin with, it will come back looking and feeling like new. Gary Kunkel
