Driving in to work today the sky was about as red before sunrise as I have ever seen it. It's very pleasant out right now, but the forecast for these parts is SE winds gusting to over 50 mph and heavy, heavy rain ... hmmmm ...

Last night at midnight the sky was crystal clear with stars and a sliver of a moon. This morning, the clouds have rolled in and the forecast is for an exceptionally potent storm. I had that poem in mind when I saw the sky start to brighten up, not that I'm thinking of a winter departure by sailboat!
