Pearson 26 Clear Lake, TX
I recently recorded an acoustic album aboard my Pearson 26 in Seabrook, Texas and followed it up with a tour to Corpus Christi and back on the same boat. Both the album and the tour worked out great. We managed to play 33 shows in 38 days and sold out of CD's within 3 weeks!

I've been talking to a sailor friend in Dana Point, California about doing a sailing tour along the California coast, and it seems like a go...

Any musicians or sailors out there have any cool leads? The music is a blend of reggae, bluegrass, and folk, and you can listen to it on my website for free and check out pics from the tour. http://thebeeroom.com/events/guitar-strings-sailboat-things/

Thanks for the support!!!

You might contact the American Legion post 291 (http://www.al291.com/index.php?id=1) in Newport Beach for possible gigs.

My old band, The Fabulous Nomads http://www.fabulousnomads.com/, are all members and play there often. The drummer, Scott Porter, is very active in the racing community. They may even have a guest slip for you. The post supports a lot of local groups that play a wide range of music styles... right up your alley.

Contact Doug's Reef in Two Harbors, Catalina. Live entertainment at their outside bar in the summer and if you're sailing the California coast a trip to the island is a must. Avalon at Catalina has a variety of possibilities too.

I'm jealous. I'd love to do the same thing, but I haven't figured out how to set up my drums in the salon and still have room for the bassist and keyboard player. I guess I need a bigger boat.
