Recommended Weekend Destinations

I sail in the Tampa Bay area of Florida and was hoping to find out if anyone can recommend overnight/weekend destinations in this area. I sail a 26 foot and do not need docking facilities, looking for nice protected areas to anchor. Terry Tyson http://www.sailingforever.addr.com

try desoto point

it's located on the manatee river...it's well-protected except when the wind's from the north..then you can anchor on the north side of the river..
