Recommended Vinyl Stain Remover?

The original fabric cushion covers are in great condition except for the mildew stained vinyl on the bottom. The fabric is green while the vinyl backing is off-white. I see 3M has a marine mildew stain remover but strongly forbids allowing the product on anything other than white. So, of course, I worry about getting it on the fabric. I'm interested in what other folks here use to remove mildew stains on their interior cushions.

Babe's and Boat Bling make products for Marine use and I have found them all to be very good. I like Boat Bling the best.

Have you tried something as simple as Simple Green and a brush? Another product would be Totally Awesom ($1.00/bottle)
