PEARSON 30 NARRAGANSETT BAY.
im havin an issue with some vibration at lower rpms due to a folding prop that came with the boat, not opening all the way..i scored a two blade 7x12 right handed prop for 80 bucks IN LIKE NEW CONDITION...will it work effieciently?? i have a 1975 pearson 30 with an atomic for late model direct drive...its an opportunity not to have to spend the 3-400 on a new prop although ive read about the cdi prop, the 3 blade from indigo,.....thanks for your help...jerry t./ SENORITA

Re: recommended size of two blade fixed prop for pearson 30

According to what I found: The original prop on the P30 was a 7x12 two-blade, RH, so the prop you scored should be right for your boat.

If the folding prop is a Martec, you might consider sending it in to them for a reconditioning. A couple hundred bucks and it'll look and work like new. A fixed blade prop will cost you as much as a knot in light air.
