I am putting new halyards on my 26' Chrysler. 106sf main and a 230sf Genoa. Also new jib sheets. What are your recommendations for the halyards and the jib sheets rope diameter?
I have found that the correct size of sheets and halyards is the one that fits your hand comfortably (with and without glove) and will fit the winch drum for max holding power. Robert
The sheaves in the blocks that carry the sheets, and at the masthead for the halyards, are sized for a particular type of line (rope, wire) and for a specific size range. If you go with something different based upon hand comfort alone, you might create other problems. --Ron
