recent Teak Guard experience

Has anyone had recent experience with Teak Guard? I found a few posts from 2009 and wondered if any more have tried it since then. I particularly like the idea of being able to apply multiple coats in one day which simplifies taping/tape removal. Water based product so clean-up should be easier also.

I've been using 3 coats Cetol light, with 3 coats clear overlay, but it's time (ok next spring) to strip toerails, handrails, coaming, dorade boxes, etc and redo - ouch!

I've been using Teak Guard for a number of years and yes you can do multiple coats in one day as it's water based and dries quickly. No need to tape at all. Simply keep a damp rag handy and wipe off any that may get on the gel coat. Keep in mind it will wipe right off if you catch it right away. If not you'll need a little elbow grease to remove it. For best color and longevity make sure you do a good job of cleaning the teak before using. I use foam brushes to apply.
