My wife was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer in 1999 and had minimal surgury and chemo and radiation therapy. It took all of the starch out of her for a long while but today she is cancer free and healthy. She concealed from me just how weak she was that first year after therapy.
Be helpful with as many household chores as you have time for, she may not admit the need but she will be glad to get the help.
