Hello, Does anyone make a rebuild kit for my original sink pump?I have a 77 oday, owned for three years, and since I have only day sailed to this point,I,or a guest have never needed to wash my hands in the sink. Now I wish to overnight, and the first time I tried to use the faucet pump, water kind of just seeps out the handle, not the spout. There is a sticker that says somthing about clampin it in the"primed" position.A new faucet is 80 bucks for a cheapy.I would rather buy a solar panel,etc.,etc. LLOYD

hand pump

if it's the pump i'm thinking of i just replaced one in my 1973 camper .the original pump( chromed potmetal body with a chromed curved spigot ,pump handle comes out of the base at counter level with a black knob ?) i tried to rebuild last season but it was to far gone. it too leaked from the handle .i found a new one ,almost identical, at a local RV store for 34.00(cnd.).i think i have seen them on the internet for about 28.00(us.)in the end i think i spent more time trying to rebuild than it took me to go to the rv place and install the new one hope this helps mike

Mike, You have described exactly the type of hand pump faucet I have that, like you, I tried to re-build. I have searched the net and RV stores on line but I haven't found one. Can you provide more information, such as the manufacturer? Thanks Alan

Alan . the orignal pump was a coleman . the new pump came from British columbia i thru out the box . i found this one in the U.S. VALTERRA Rocker Pump. it was 26.95(us). try this link https://www.rvpartsoutlet.com/newstore/nojava/index.cfm this place is in Oregon .i'm shure you can find one closer to home , they are genericaly called rocker pumps, hand pumps or galley pumps . i started my search with (rv parts ) 2.2million hits then narrowed it down from there. try jc whitney.bet they have them....good luck mike

Thanks for info

Thanks for the info.RV sites seem much less expensive than the two big Boating Stores which shall remain nameless. What is this "Priming" thing all about?I understand a priming lock, but how do you prime it in the first place? Thanks again,LLOYD
