5 min epoxy

Fiill the old hole with 5 min epoxy, push the snap in, wipe off any excess and forgetaboutit.....

I've tried filling the hole with epoxy, then drilling it out and re-anchoring the snap with a drywall anchor. The only problem is that usually there's nothing behind/under the deck to keep the wet epoxy in place. If you can get something crammed into the hole to catch the falling goop and hold it in place, then you're on your way to success. I've also tried pushing in some wet epoxy, then just dropping the snap into the wet epoxy and let it harden with the snap buried in it. It sounds dumb (and I won't do it again) but it actually worked. Paul sv Escape Artist h336

Spray Foam

Spray enough of the foam in the hole to cover behind the hole. Use a nail or thin screw to create a void. Fill the void with the epoxy put the snap in and you are all set.

works great, it gets solid in 15 minutes, drill and screw the new snap. Ozana

Rebeding Snaps

In the past I have had good luck using the smallest plastic inserts used for putting screws into dry wall.. Seems to work well...
