I have a leak in the aft port cabin and believe it is from the portlight. Before I rebed the portlight, I am interested in knowing if anyone has rebedded theirs and if they have any advice. Where might I purchase new trim rings if they break? I have researched and found that Sikaflex 295UV is for bedding portlights, any other suggestions? Has anyone replaced these ports through New Found Metals? I would appreciate any advice anyone can offer. Thanks Capn Bob

Capt. Tolli's

Bob: I had a portlight leak (very small) and I bought some "Capt. Tolli's" (sp)leak finder at West Marine. It only cost a couple of bucks and it worked like a charm. The stuff is a very thin liquid which flows into openings or porosities and seals them as it dries. Works kinda' like Barsleak in a car radiator except it is a thin liquid with no lumps in it. It might save you a disassembly and the attendant problems with fasteners and unavailable spare parts. Good Luck, Mike
