Gulfstar 37 Aft Cockpit New Orleans
Has anyone rebedded the fixed ports in the Salon area of a 77-79 Gulfstar 37 aft cockpit? I haven't looked very closely, but I seem to have slight leak in one...as this boat has teak around the ports, you can't stand much of this so I want to rebed...there are no screws on the outside, so it seems one has to work from the inside on these. If anyone has done this, I would appreciate any tips or hints before I tear into them and find out I needed something..

salon fixed window leaks

jim i have a 1979 and have a small drip in wind driven rain on the stbd aft window. i have not atckled this yet as it was not a prob. last yr. go figure had so much rain we didn't get in until the last week of july. to me it looks like you'll need one of those tools that windshield repairmen have. it's a minny spatula. it looks like those windows are installed from the outside and the bead is popped or reset depending on wether you are going inny or outty. it may be that your gasket material is on the way out and is decomposing. you should be able to get new stuff from aikens & hoyle if they made the windows. good luck!!!
