Hi me again

The rear mast stay liine has a way to adjust the line with a pulley system

The upper fiddle(?) pulley lower is broken
It has markings but can't find it.

It runs 3/8 liine through it

The closest I can find is a "Schafer"

Don't understand the sizes (got wrong size for another before)
All metric or nubered 2, 3, 5 or MM

I'm concerned wit weight load as I don't want to looosee my mast, I sail liike a fool already (just got the boat).

I found one at 1200lbs one at 1700 lbs. seems light to me but the size will increase the strength?

What do youu think?
Only respond if you know please
Parts and money are tight, changing halyards and other things

Look up the Schaefer Usage Chart.
http://www.schaefermarine.com/general-usage-chart/
They don't provide this specific usage but it will give you an idea where you should be. I would contact Schaefer or any other brand that I would choose (such as Harken or Selden) for this application and ask for guidance. I have a Schaefer 5 Series for this application on my boat. I would probably use a 7 Series for this application on a larger boat similar to yours. You are not locked into replacing parts as they were originally installed. You can change brands and methods if you want. It's your boat, your choice.
My buddy, Ward, feeling more comfortable at the helm after we finally engaged backstay tension!
