I've this ceiling light in my rear berth (photos attached). I would like to remove the lens to change the bulb. Can anyone advise me how the lens can be removed? Thank you.

Hi Ken,
Aw, go ahead and break it and ask questions later :D :p :D.
I did this a few weeks ago using a butter knife for a wider surface area (as described by Justsomeguy). Was changing over to LED's (same as Seadaddler) and the rear berth now looks like it's being hit with a floodlight.

Ken, I believe this is the replacement bulb bulb I used from Marinebeam. I did the entire boat at once but I'm pretty sure this is the one I used for the head and the rear berth. Big increase in light output and drops the amperage down to 0.1A.

Mind you, if you're just looking for a way to buy a new toy ...................... don't let me stop you :D.

Hi,
I just pulled the burned out bulb from the head fixture (same as the rear berth) on our 356 but I cant tell what the bulb number or watt rating is? Can anyone please confirm this please? I will change over to LED down the road but would like to replace this with a standard bulb for the time being.

Thanks,

SFS

Sometimes they are extremely difficult to read, but I've not seen one yet that wasn't either ink stamped or embossed on the metal end (not the glass) of the bulb. You may need to use a magnifying glass and/or a very good light. If you can't find ANY identifying features, don't sweat it. You have the bulb in your hand, take it to WM (or to your auto parts store, or Walmart for that matter) and match it up. Bayonet bulbs have either one or two contact points on the bottom. Festoon bulbs (the long cylindrical ones with pointy ends) come in different lengths. Just match up what you have. There typically aren't a lot of choices in output (lumens) or power usage (watts).
