I am stripping five layers of bottom coating off the boat. The hull looks great, there is some areas which is showing the glass . So how do I start off from here, nice clean bottom back to gel-coat. Do I epoxy all the little pin holes, hair line crack, so on first? Then do I apply the water proof sealer primer ? Do I block out the hull at this point (fair) then apply the bottom coating? Does anyone have a step by step product input on this fancy stuff?

Where are you located? Are you near the ocean? Or fresh water? Are there any boat builders in your area? If you can afford to gelcoat your boat longevity will be best. In any case I would consult with a glass pro. If the boat has areas of missing or thinning gelcoat it would be good to rejuvenate the barrier after all the boat is 40+. Hard to know without seeing her.
