My name is Frank, and although I live in Hamburg, Germany, my boat s.v. Cin Cin (I bought her in Berlin) is presently moored in Key West. At any rate, I routinely have videos converted from PAL to NTSC and vice versa. When the "Berserker" video becomes available, if you like,you can send it to me and I will have it converted and then send it to Chuck, so he can control distribution for the association. Mysterious?? Not really. I bought Cin-Cin V-2184, when I was stationed in Berlin with the U.S. Army. Unfortunately my military duties did not permit me to sail her to the States, so I opted to have her shipped on a Polish freighter (that was in 1984). The paperwork involved to have her transit the DDR, while not exactly a nightmare, was not any fun. At any rate she has been here in Key West off and on since about 1988. I have sailed her extensively along the east coat of the U.S. and the Bahamas. Since we are not allowed to sail to Cuba (stupid embargo), my dream is to return with her to Europe. We will see. It is true, I live in Hamburg, however I take advantage of the fact that the boat is here, and try to spend as much time aboard during the winter months as possible. As I mentioned in my earlier mail, I can get videos converted from PAL, SECAM, NTSC, etc in any direction for a cost of $15 U.S. per tape, and that includes postage withing the U.S. Of course intern!
ational postage would be extra. If the need arises of I can be of any assistance do not hesitate to write or call. I've been a member of the American Vega Association (previously VODCA) since about 1987, and have alot of magazine articles, and pieces written in other books about her. I even have some sales literature that I picked up at the Annapolis boat show in 1977 !! I am sitting in the boat at the moment and the temperature is 27C/82F wonderful!!
